Google tries social networking buzzzz

So this time around, Google is turning Gmail into a social network called Google Buzz. Basically it's like FriendFeed in your Gmail. It lets you import Twitter, Picasa, Flickr, and Google Reader info and share what you're doing with your friends. It guesses which stories are more interesting to you, and it works on your phone. Is this the right approach? Maybe. There are certainly plenty of people using Gmail already, but do they want to turn their email into Facebook? And why is Blogger not included?Google Buzz doesn't ruin your email, so at least that much is working for it. When the option becomes available to you, you can click on the Google Buzz link to see your social feeds and then click on your inbox link to get right back to your Gmail business as usual.I'm still kicking the tires, but I think I might like this once I get used to it. So what do you think? Is Google Buzz buzzworthy?............Enjoy reading............thanks for visiting....

Samsung plans to retail its transparent laptop within a year

The whacky transparent AMOLED laptop showcased by Samsung in this year’s Consumer Electronics Show? Sure, it seemed to be quite a cool product for the people present there, but the problem was that it was only cool; not very useful. Apparently, Samsung has decided to take this idea forward to the market and are planning to release the transparent AMOLED laptop at the end of this year. If that was not strange enough, they plan to create a separate category of devices having transparent screens and will be releasing some in a year’s time.
The laptop has a 14 inch AMOLED display. AMOLED screens are really catching up on the traditional screens. They are thinner and have much better color display while consuming lesser power. They are quite common in high end phones these days which boast of great video quality and high battery life. The AMOLED screen used in this device allows 40 percent of light to pass through the screen when it is turned off. After turning it on, you can see your desktop and applications and a great deal of what is happening behind your screen.

earthquake detection possible by a ROBOT Indian student done this time........

Students at J.T. Engineering College, Surat, have developed a robot that can detect an earthquake 3 hours in advance. The robot, named Earthquake Detector Robot, senses earth quake tremors with the help of two transmitters and one receiver. The circuit of the transmitters is buried inside the earth, which senses the temperature, water and the water level before transitting the information through microwave frequencies. After receiving the information, the robot senses the vibration and gives off an alarm

The eco friendly mobile charged by coke.......

Now you can charge your mobile phone wherever you go ... but just remember to take a Coca-Cola can with you! Chinese developer Daizi Zheng has developed a concept Nokia phone that is powered by Coca-Cola. The phone has been developed as part of an eco-project to minimise the effect caused by conventional batteries which are expensive and hurt the environment at the time of disposal. The Nokia cylindrical mobile phone will be powered by a bio-battery, which will generate electricity from sugar through the use of enzymes and will be four times longer than traditional batteries.

what are the viruses???

What is a virus?

A computer virus is a way of describing a computer programme that has been written specifically to cause damage to your PC. In essence, it is a piece of software that is written to cause as much havoc as possible.
A virus is designed to gain access to files or programs on your PC. The virus may enter your computer CD, DVD, USB by email or by your internet connection.

There are many types of viruses including worms, phishing, rootkits, and Trojan horses. They are collectively known as malware.

An antivirus software package is designed to prevent viruses or malware from damaging your PC. It does this by being able to recognise emails and programmes which are potentially harmful to your PC and then destroy them.
